Colin Garrett
Chairman

Colin has followed a pluralist career since 2000 having worked as a corporate finance director for 15 years, principally with Albert E Sharp in Birmingham. Working across varied sectors including engineering, retail and construction he has spent an increasing amount of time through the 1990s with fast moving technology businesses.

After many years of providing advice, a desire to be involved in business, rather than advising business led him to change direction and he has subsequently become involved with a portfolio of companies, the majority of which have a technology orientation.

Included in his current roles he is a founder and Chairman of 3G Comms, a Vodafone service provider to the SME market. In addition to ZBD, he is Chairman of Pelikon, another venture capital backed company, and a director of AVEVA Group a listed business with a market capitalisation of approximately £100m.

He also holds non executive positions with an OFEX listed training company and a private property group based in the East Midlands.

He has wide experience of growing businesses, both organically and by acquisition. As ZBD Chairman he is working closely with the board, company colleagues and ZBD's venture capital backers to deliver shareholder value.
